Justice Fire and Security’s eco-friendly initiatives are paying off in more ways than one...
For a number of years now, we’ve been adding electric vehicles (EVs) to our fleet. But we’ve now started to expand our green policies – which is starting to reap rewards for our customers.
In 2023, the company installed solar panels along the full length of the main roof of our headquarters on the OYO Business Park in Castle Vale, Birmingham. Included within this upgrade was 24kW of battery storage.
Already, this has saved many thousands of pounds in electricity charges and will continue to do so, long into the future.
As part of our plans to run as many EVs in our vehicle fleet as possible, virtually all our cars and vans are now fully electric, including a couple of plug-in hybrid models to complete the set.
Our picture shows the latest EV to join the fleet, being topped up at our office charging point, free of cost (when the sun comes out), thanks to the energy generated from our solar installation. As we generally operate within a 50-mile radius of our West Midlands base, our security and fire system engineers can comfortably operate within a chargeable range – even if they are making multiple calls within a day.
It’s not just good news for the environment, it’s also great news for both our domestic and commercial security customers.

We are delighted with the performance and practicalities of operating a mainly EV vehicle fleet. In terms of energy generation, despite the sometimes inclement Birmingham weather, the solar panels are doing a great job.
“The energy savings we make will continue to be reflected in our pricing - so it’s a win-win situation for everyone, not least for the environment around us,” he added, allowing us to provide and install even more affordable security systems across the UK.
