The importance of smoke detectors in homes has been further highlighted by recent tragic events involving a fatal fire at a first-floor maisonette in Coventry.

Two occupants lost their lives after fire engulfed the entire property, which was extinguished by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.

West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) have confirmed that the blaze was started accidentally after a converted electric bike caught fire. The bike had been stored in the hallway at the property.

There was no smoke detection system in the premises. If there had have been, it would almost certainly have saved lives.

Take advantage of our Free Smoke Detector Offer

There’s no time like the present to make sure your home is fitted with a smoke detector – especially right now.

That’s because throughout November, with every domestic fire or security alarm Justice Fire & Security install, we’ll fit a free smoke detector.

Not only will it activate if smoke is detected, it will also pulse the alarm sounders, providing extra assurance. If you are away, the system will also notify all users via their smart phone app and our monitoring station, should the monitored option be taken up (in the same way as if the intruder alarm was activated).

For those using one of our CCTV systems in conjunction with a smoke detector, customers can also remotely survey the status of their home.

Our state-of-the-art smoke detection systems are way more responsive, reliable and safety-focussed than an off-the-shelf battery powered options, which make a noise but can be unreliable.

To take advantage of our free smoke detector offer, go to Affordable Home Security System | Justice Security or call our main switchboard on 0845 468 9077.
